Which locations would you recommend for foreigners who want a wedding or honeymoon photo session in France?

France has countless stunning spots for wedding or honeymoon photoshoots beyond Paris. Provence is a dream with its lavender fields and charming villages, offering a perfect blend of  rustic and romantic settings. The French Riviera, with its glamorous coastline from Nice to Saint-Tropez, provides breathtaking Mediterranean views and luxurious backdrops. Chateaus throughout the French countryside are also perfect for a fairytale-like atmosphere, giving your photos a regal, timeless quality. It depends on the vibe the couple is going for and any personal connection they may have to a certain place.

How do you recommend preparing for a wedding photo session in France depending on location?

The key is to plan for the vibe of the location so you don’t feel overwhelmed. It’s essential to work with someone experienced who can help you create a mood board. Think about the aesthetic you want, plan your locations, and create a schedule that allows time for outfit changes and travel between spots (if necessary, as in Paris). In popular areas like the French Riviera or a famous chateau, starting early in the morning helps avoid crowds. In quieter regions like Provence, timing your shoot around a golden hour will give you that magical light. Always plan ahead for local traffic or travel time between locations! And do not forget about photo permits for certain places!

What do you love the most about wedding photoshoots?

Capturing the raw, authentic emotions between a couple, adding a little editorial touch if it fits. Every wedding has its own unique story. It’s an honor to preserve those intimate moments forever. No photoshoot ever feels the same – each couple brings their own energy and love story. I also love how the photos mix emotional depth with beautiful scenery, creating something truly special. Every couple is different, so it always feels fresh and exciting for me as a photographer.
