How did you discover your passion for wedding planning?

After working for 10 years in a company in business administration and management, I decided to take a new path. I started by enrolling in floral and organizational courses with the best professionals in the wedding world. Every year, I attend refresher courses, and my education is continuous.

How do you keep your creative ideas fresh for each new project? What are your sources of inspiration?

My source of inspiration is art and fashion. I follow the best in the field of floral design and wedding planning. I read many books in the field and take inspiration from overseas weddings. The brides themselves are a source of inspiration for my designs!

What does your typical morning routine and weekly plan look like?

Important for me is getting up early and making myself a good coffee as a true Roman with a mocha. The slow preparation of coffee has become a real ritual, which already allows me to organize my ideas and face the day.

Usually, Monday is the day for emails and planning the appointments for the whole week. I try, still with poor results, to carve out time for myself, such as going to the gym or taking long walks. Tuesday through Thursday, I divide my time between the computer and appointments, while Friday through Sunday is fieldwork alongside the brides!

What is the biggest reward for your work?

My greatest satisfaction is the “Oh my God” uttered by the brides or their testimonies, like Jessica's, who writes to me:

“I am so thankful I found Sara on Instagram. She seemed to have the exact wedding vibe I was going for and ended up exceeding my expectations in every way. Trying to plan our intimate wedding was stressful, and as a Type A person, I had a really hard time letting go, but I knew I wouldn't be able to do everything myself. And wow, from the first time meeting Sara and her team, I knew I was in good hands. They made the whole process extremely easy, always answered my questions quickly, and were professional and kind. I cannot express how beautiful my bouquet was, how smooth the whole day went in the bustle of Rome, or how perfect the ambience of our reception dinner was. Perfect seems too simple of a word to describe our wedding day, but it truly was perfect. I wish we could do that day all over again, and hope I can find an excuse to work with Sara again in the future. Thank you, Sara and team!”

However, every wedding for me is a great result, every smile of the couple for me is a great result, even answering this questionnaire is a great result, because it means I am doing my job well!

How do you balance the emotional aspects of weddings?

Organizing everything in the best possible way! I try to anticipate the major and minor unforeseen events, reassure the brides, and, most importantly, make them part of their wedding. I believe brides should know every aspect of their wedding because then their stress is kept in check. On the day of the event, there should be no room for anxiety or fear, but work on problem-solving, as I always say, matrimony is a good first, there can be no repeat!

How do you handle stress and pressure in the fast-paced world of wedding planning?

The truth is, I am still trying to learn how to manage stress, and the best way is to actively work in the field! It is not enough to know how to organize well; you need to have good decision-making skills during the event. Good fellowship with vendors also reduces stress, as does a good relationship with the couple.

How do you strike a balance between staying on trend and creating timeless, classic wedding designs?

Difficult. I have learned that every bride is different and that beauty is subjective. Let's say that couples who contact me have a vision of marriage akin to mine, and this helps in the stylistic creation of an event.

What does your decision-making process look like?

I am very rational; I try to leave the emotional part at home during an event because it would not help in making choices. Sometimes you have very little time to be able to change a plan, implement the famous Plan B, or solve an unforeseen event.

What are your future projects and dreams?

Continue to work in the wedding world and establish myself as an elopement planner and designer. I would also like to, my biggest dream, start a blog that unites many trendy professionals!
