Photographer: NICOLETTA SUBITONI
Nicoletta Subitoni is an Italian photographer with a distinct aesthetic; because of her attention to detail and focus on intimate weddings, her photos radiate a sense of romance and sensuality.
Taking not only beautiful photos but capturing the true essence of intimate weddings is an art that requires a unique approach and an ability to focus on the personal and emotional nuances of smaller celebrations. Unlike grand weddings with hundreds of guests, intimate weddings typically involve a group of closest family and friends, allowing for a more detailed and meaningful photographic experience. In this scenario, the photographer is not someone tensely trying to capture everyone and everything, rather, they are immersing themselves in the moments of the wedding day as it unfolds.
The setting of an intimate wedding is often more relaxed and personal, offering the photographer to pay close attention to the loving connections between the guests. Nicoletta Subitoni does that with great care, creating photos that showcase the most delicate and ethereal moments of the wedding day.
In intimate weddings, the beauty often lies in the details. They highlight the couple's personality and the effort put into creating their special day. Nicoletta’s Subitoni photos are a testament that she studies these details with great care and attention, creatively capturing them. She proves that capturing intimate weddings is about more than just taking pictures; it is about documenting love stories in a way that is personal and meaningful.
In this interview with Bride Lifestyle, Nicoletta Subitoni shares insights into her approach and preferences when shooting a wedding.
You can pay particular attention to situations and details. It's another world.
All the most important moments are captured digitally - I capture some of them very quickly so as not to have any risks, but I always have one or more analogue cameras around my neck, so I just wait for the moment. I do not take the group photos in analogue because it would become really expensive, but maybe a particular moment of the groups.
Not the day before ever, but with Covid, yes, we postponed in most cases in agreement.
I follow what happens naturally.
I prefer the sunset.
I'm a night owl.
Spring, with roses blooming, is my favourite season.
For wedding photography, I must say that capturing beautiful photos of midsummer outdoor dinners gives great satisfaction.
I am Catholic, and I got married in the church; I believe in it a lot. Apart from this, whether it is religious or civil, I believe that marriage has a truly intimate value and is not a simple sheet of paper.
