The Residence is imbued with a still reverberating sense of history. Every nook and cranny, every object in its premises tells the story of a romantic era, of the time when the Residence was at its prime. Known as the “Skordiliani Residence”, it boasts unique origins and a glorious past, as ongoing historical research suggests it was commissioned by the Skordilis Byzantine family and built during the Venetian rule of Crete. The traditional style of the Residence escaped the ravages of time and war and has been preserved and enhanced through recent exterior restoration works.

The sacred chapel, “I Gennisi tis Panagias” in Greek, is an integral part of a beautiful building complex once property of the Skordilis family in the Byzantine era. During the 1878 revolution, the chapel was almost destroyed but ultimately restored from the ground up at the beginning of the 20th century. The distinctive form and style of the chapel are characteristic of Venetian architecture, while historical research confirms that the chapel was founded during the Venetian rule of the island, between 1205 and 1669.

Our services encompass a thoughtfully curated range of offerings, including the organization of various styles of ceremonies, reception dinners and celebrations, celebrant services, bespoke consultation, full wedding planning and coordination, as well as décor, styling and decorative lighting design.

Our rental fee is primarily determined by the expected number of guests, while the final event budget is further shaped by the chosen theme and aesthetic, florals and décor requirements, and the number of vendors involved.

As we host only a limited number of weddings each season, in order to preserve the unique character and natural beauty of the landscape, we kindly recommend securing your preferred date approximately one to one and a half years in advance.
