Annikka Toni's love for cakes and biscuits was passed down from her German mother, who introduced her to the art of making traditional national, Easter, and Christmas desserts from a young age.
After earning a degree in scenography from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and gaining experience with major film productions and as an interior designer, Annikka ventured into cake design, fueled by her passion for pastry.
Over the years, she has attended numerous professional courses and masterclasses both in Italy and abroad. These opportunities allowed her to learn from renowned pastry experts such as Leonardo Di Carlo, Giuseppe Amato, Marco Rinella, Gianluca Fusto, Peggy Porschen, Lindy Smith, and Kristina Rado.
Annikka honed her skills at THE PERFECT BUN – Bakery Grocery & Deli near Campo De' Fiori, a notable establishment in the pastry sector. There, she created decorated and monumental cakes for prestigious clients including Maison Fendi, Maison Gucci, Maison Valentino, Jimmy Choo, Hotel De Russie, Hotel Rome de Cavalieri, and the Ben Stiller Foundation.
Subsequently, she furthered her pastry training at the ice cream-pastry shop "Fattori" and then at "Cristalli di Zucchero."
Currently, Annikka works as an instructor at the "At the Table with the Chef" school and serves as a pastry and cake design consultant. She also collaborates with leading catering companies and event and wedding planners in the capital, contributing to the creation of desserts and event arrangements.
